Reasons to Celebrate! Chocolate Covered Raisin Day!

Hello my little Raisinets! Today we celebrate Chocolate Covered Raisin Day! In my book anything covered in chocolate is worth celebrating. Raisinets were introduced in 1927 by the Blumenthal Chocolatecompany before being bought by Nestle in 1984 and we’ve been gorging on the delectable little morsels ever since. I think an appropriate way to celebrate the day is to make a chocolate martini and skewer a few Raisinets for a garnish. So remember, no matter if they are Rasinets or Ghirardelli’s, raisins are good for you so go for it and remember to share!

I’m going to have one of those smart chocolate cocktails, and start ‘raisin” a little H*ll.
Some health nuts say carob tastes just like chocolate. Wrong! Wrong! Wrong! If my significant other brought me a box of carob for Valentine’s Day, honey, it would be over. I’d have a little weep and then go to Russell Stover’s.
